MKE Week 5 Mind in Action is thought, and thought is creative. Since being in this course it has opened my mind more to the thoughts I create and live by.
The thoughts we create are the keys to the Kingdom. I love the fact when I am mindful to my thoughts and taking the time to focus on the task at hand, it’s quite amazing how much more relaxed and productive I become. I wanted to speak about being mindful. Having the ability to recognize what being mindful offers is a great advantage in our life’s affairs.
I love this piece by Matthew Brensilver, PhD January 2, 2017… Mindfulness can be considered a state, a trait or a practice.
We can have a moment of mindfulness(state) but also have a habitual tendency of mindfulness(trait). We can do the intentional formal practice of mindfulness using different postures and activities: seated mindfulness,mindful walking or mindful eating, for example. The formal practice of mindfulness leads to more moments of mindfulness and ultimately improved trait-level mindfulness.
Higher trait-level mindfulness means that we’re more mindful even when we’re not consciously trying to be mindful.
This is critically important: we’re learning to create a healthy habit of mindfulness.
This is so important. Last night I went to dinner with friends and I didn’t keep my promise to myself about being mindful as to what I eat and my experience around food. I was distracted and felt rushed, hungry and unfocused about my food choices. We ate Italian. I ate a garlic rolls (1.5 Bad choice), Chicken parmigiana with cheese and breading along with a delicious spaghetti (Bad choices)
I WAS NOT BEING MINDFUL
Here is the beautiful thing about the work we’re doing, it’s all perfect. Why, because the universe is in process always working towards our intentions.
This morning after waking, I received an email from a dear friend of mine who is aware of my eating intention.
I want to share her email. She says… I want to say this to you as a friend and I hope that you take it as a contribution.
What I now know about food and weight and health is that it is a matter of chemistry. period. If one is serious,they cannot mess with the chemistry too much and if you do, it should be with whole natural products… a vegetable, a piece of meat, a nut, some berries.
Otherwise results will not stay. Other than occasional alcohol I try to stay in that bracket. It is a hard habit to adopt but worth it. Seeing what you ate last night…bread, a lot of food of any kind, breaded meats or meat with a lot of ingredients with it. will not work…
Too much protein gets stored as fat if not used. tomato sauces have sugar. Most cheeses have fillers in them that are not healthy. I splurged by eating things with a lot of sauces last night, but I would know very quickly if it bothered me and I am mostly fine.
My fingers are a little swollen and that indicates inflammation to me. But I eat very clean on a regular basis and my body has reached a certain homeostasis that can be sustained despite an occasional meal variance. I hope that was informative and did not hurt.
I love this because it reminded me about being mindful to my intention, my body, my food and a host of other things. How perfect was the message for me to hear today, not tomorrow? I know this may seem a bit long, but I had to share.

I knew that last night when I ate that food, my subby did not discern positive or negative consequence, it just goes with the flow. However, my thoughts are so powerful that I couldn’t have written a more perfect message to myself about my intention. So, in the river of thought of life, it is all flowing in Harmony to bring the highest and best use always if we pay attention. Thank you, Carol,!

3 And God said, let there be light: and there was light. (God Didn’t say… I wonder if I can create light?)
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

In each of GODS Proclamations. it speaks to what the Master Keys teach us, that Life Is expressive and it is our business to express ourselves harmoniously and constructively in all things.
